Ticket Scalping and Resale FAQ
The Town Toyota Center, the GWREC PFD and its staff do not endorse nor do they have any agreements with 3rd party ticket sellers or ticket selling websites. We want all of our guests to purchase tickets directly through us. This ensures that our guests are paying a fair price and are guaranteed to receive the tickets they purchased.
What is ticket scalping/resale?
Ticket scalping (aka ticket reselling) is an illegitimate practice of buying tickets to an event and reselling them at inflated rates in the secondary market, most often through a website.
Is ticket scalping/resale legal?
There are currently no federal or Washington State laws that prohibit the reselling of event tickets. Reselling laws vary from state to state, and the majority of US states do not have laws in place to limit the value placed on the resale amount of event tickets or where and how these tickets should be sold. Washington State is one such state.
An event ticket may not be recognized, honored or received for admission if purchased from a source other than the Town Toyota Center Box Office or the Town Toyota Center website. The Town Toyota Center will not issue a refund or exchange for tickets purchased outside of our website or box office. Nor can the Town Toyota Center replace lost or stolen tickets. Fraud is rampant in the ticket reselling business. The most common scam is someone selling fabricated tickets, many times to seats that don't even exist in a venue.
Purchasing Tickets for Town Toyota Center Events:
SHOWARE is the official ticketing service of the Town Toyota Center. Our official website for purchasing tickets is https://tickets.towntoyotacenter.com.
The Box Office is open Monday through Friday 10am to 5pm and weekends per event. The Box Office can be reached by phone at (509) 667-7847.
How do I protect myself?
Call the box office or visit the box office in person. That is the easiest way to guarantee you are purchasing tickets directly from the Town Toyota Center. Plus we really enjoy getting to talk with our guests about our upcoming shows.
Whether you’re purchasing tickets online to a Town Toyota Center event or an event at another location it is important to make sure the site you are on is the official website of the venue or event. Googling the name of the event will often give you reselling sites as the first clickable links. Avoid clicking on links that have the “Ad” tag next to the link. We recommend going to the venues/events official home page and finding the ticket link there instead of using a search engine.
If the ticket price seems high you are probably on a reselling site. Call the box office and ask what the ticket prices are for the event. We are here to help you and can give you the information you need to make an informed purchase.
