The Rink Seeks Naming Partner

The Town Toyota Center complex is a regional ice and event venue that features 4,300 seats in the main arena and 500 bleacher seats in the year-round Ice Rink. The Rink, the adjacent facility to the main arena, is the only permanent year-round ice rink in Central Washington. Over 100,000 users enter the Rink annually to learn to skate, play hockey, public skate or other ice-skating related activity. The Rink seeks a naming partner who will align with the arena’s mission to “provide recreational events in a fun and safe environment to benefit the communities of North Central Washington”. The naming partner will receive sponsor name on the outside of the Rink facility, logos on the doorways, banner signs above the scoreboard, and logos in the ice among many other marketing deliverables. The Town Auto Group remains as the overall facility naming partner, but relinquished the Rink facility in their contractual terms last year. The Rink naming partner will be subservient to Town Toyota’s name. All listings of the Rink will have the Town Toyota Center prior to the naming partner at the Rink.

The Town Toyota Center has over 300,000 guests that attend the arena annually and 100,000 users in the Rink. On a typical day at the Rink, skaters will arrive by 6:00 a.m. to skate and conclude around 10:00 p.m. Parents, coaches, and ice skaters frequent daily to practice or play. The Town Toyota Center Rink employs over 30 part-time people as well as being the home to the Wenatchee Wolves Hockey Team and Wenatchee Figure Skating Club. “The Rink is the heart and soul of the region as a fouryear old can dream to become an Olympic skater or an adult can learn to skate for the very first time,” states Mark Miller, Town Toyota Center, general manager. “Ice skating is a life skill and builds self-confidence,” adds Louise Kapeikis, Town Toyota Center, skating director. Kapeikis’s daughter, Kaela, learned to skate at 18 months of age and now is a Disney on Ice professional figure skater and performer. “She credits the yearround ice at the Rink for her skating accomplishments,” says Kapeikis. The Rink facility is an integral part of the greater Wenatchee valley and helps contribute to the nearly 7 million dollars in economic impact annually.
