The Town Toyota Center’s arena youth enrichment fund (AYEF) held at the North Central Washington Community Foundation offers non-profit youth organizations the opportunity to ice skate or roller skate this summer.
Sports clubs, daycares or other non-profit organizations that have summer youth program located in the Greater Wenatchee Area Public Facilities District are eligible to apply for funding. The grant fund will pay for skater’s admission fee, ice time, and skate rentals.
AYEF was established in 2013 in conjunction with Numerica Credit Union’s Winter Ice Gala held annually at the Town Toyota Center. Since inception, the fund has generated over $64,000. In 2015 alone, over 2,700 hundred youth participated in activities at the Town Toyota Center who may not have had the opportunity.
The grants are approved by a community advisory selection committee:
Janet McNeilly, Numerica Credit Union
Tony Freytag, CrunchPak
Christine Barros, Town Auto Group
Randy Agnew, City of Rock Island, Mayor
Julie Norton, Ogden, Murphy & Wallace
Staff: Jennifer Bushong, Vice-President, Marketing Partnerships/Public Relations
Pledges are always being accepted to support youth to ice skate or attend a show who might not otherwise afford to participate in activities. Donations can be made at www.cfncw.org or www.towntoyotacenter.com
