-Saturday, September 6-
Wenatchee, WA –The Town Toyota Center is pleased to announce songwriter, guitarist, and singer from the original lineup of the band Heart, Roger Fisher, will open for Tom Scholz’ band Boston live in concert on Saturday, September 6 at 7:30 p.m.
Roger Fisher was the founding lead guitarist of the rock group Heart, globally known through the sales of more than 30 million albums. Roger has played in almost every major city in North America and toured internationally. He has performed for as many as 280,000 people at a single rock show. Recently, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as the part of the original band, Heart. “I have fond memories of meeting Tom Scholz, Brad Delp and the guys back when we toured with them in the ’70’s. They played their first-ever gig with us, and I was struck by how quickly they improved and became a world class act. Tom struck me as an intelligent, ambitious, musical, wearer-of-many-hats - a true inspiration”, says Roger.
Fisher states, “my favorite gig with them was at the Superdome in New Orleans. The lineup was Heart, Boston, and Van Halen. We played first, and after our set, I climbed up on the tower that held the follow-spot operators and videographers. It was truly the best seat in the house, and I marveled at the precision and professionalism of Boston’s performance. What struck me more though, was the craftsmanship of the songwriting, and how well it worked in a room that held 72,000 people”.
The now “classic rock groups” that were touring in the ’70’s had no problem filling large venues and selling millions of records. The United States and the rest of the world recognized truly great, inspiring music that touched the souls and moved the minds of millions. That’s why Heart and Boston are still relevant today. They dug deep to create music that mattered. And it still does.”
Roger’s band will be performing some of the classic Heart songs that he co-wrote, as well as cuts from his new album, ALL TOLD, due out this Fall.
Plus, American Idol Season 9 finalist Siobhan Magnus will join the band for a stratospheric version of “Walk On,” and she is a perfect match for both the band and the out-of-this-world visual effects on the giant BOSTON ship’s viewpoint.
Guests will receive two great classic rock artists for the price of one ticket. Roger Fisher will take the stage on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. prior to the band BOSTON. Tickets start at $35 per person and can be purchased in three ways:
