JAMES DONALDSON TO GRAND MARSHAL EHE 3 ON 3 TOURNAMENT

Wenatchee, WA‐ Former Seattle Supersonic, inspirational speaker and author James Donaldson is coming to Wenatchee! Elite Hoop Effects announces today Donaldson will be the Grand Marshal of the 2nd annual 3 on 3 Sunburn Classic co‐presented by Town Toyota Group. The 3 on 3 basketball tournament will be held in the Town Toyota Center parking lot and facilities on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26. This will include an opportunity for participants to meet and greet Mr. Donaldson at the beginning of the tournament weekend.

The Sunburn Classic tournament will feature 16 outdoor courts with high quality rims along with a
challenge court, a dunk contest and a 3‐point shooting contest. There will also be an area designated for “rugrats” defined as kids going into Kindergarten through 3rd grade. This area will have lower hoops modeled after the RugRat Nation tournament held at Pybus Market in May, which was a huge success. All players and spectators will have access to the air‐conditioned concourse of the Town Toyota Center for restrooms and to simply get out of the heat. Concessions, a beer garden and a variety of vendors will have items allowing participants to stay on the Town Toyota Center campus for all of their tournament needs. Sponsors will have special access to a VIP area where they can enjoy food, beverages and air conditioning.

Court sponsorships are still available and registration for divisions from 3rd grade through adult is $100 per team and includes t‐shirts for all participants. Space is limited for the event and the deadline for registration is Monday, July 20. About Elite Hoop Effects

Elite Hoop Effects founder JD Taylor is a former high school All American basketball player and track star from Juanita High School. JD went on to play basketball and track at the University of Washington. JD posted a personal best in the high jump of 7’8 1/4”, earning him at PAC 10 Title and freshman of the year honors. JD is now passing on his experiences as a player and certified coach to youth in Central Washington. JD’s experience includes coaching and developing youth players for the past 15 years. He coaches with positive reinforcement challenging each individual athlete to improve his or her skills for the next level. JD is great at identifying weaknesses while enhancing a players’ all round game. JD’s passion for the game is unmatched and he believes preparation =’s success! About James Donaldson

James Donaldson is a Washington State University graduate. After an outstanding basketball career withWSU he went on to play professional basketball in the NBA with the Seattle Supersonics, LA Clippers, Dallas Mavericks, New York Knicks and Utah Jazz. He also played in European Leagues and with The Harlem Globetrotters to wrap up his career. He has been the recipient of many awards both on and off the court. James established The Donaldson Clinic in 1990, shortly after a career threatening knee injury with an idea he would eventually become a physical therapist. James retired and lives in Seattle, Washington and is a huge contributor of time, talent and treasure. He devotes a majority of his time to various community activities, and toward the operations of The Donaldson clinic.
